Meeting Overview

Recent advances in cell migration research have provided new insights into how cells move: from basic mechanisms to how aberrations in migration impact human disease. The Frontiers in Cell Migration meeting, a joint effort of the NIH and the Cell Migration Consortium, showcases the progress and promise of this field. The meeting features presentations by researchers developing and utilizing new technologies and approaches for studying basic mechanisms of migration and those studying migration in biological and pathological processes. The meeting seeks to catalyze the translation of new knowledge and experimental approaches into biological and disease related research and develop a roadmap for further understanding migration at the molecular, cellular and organismal level.
